This year was bigger than ever. Join us next year. We had nearly 200 attendees.
Spring Awards
Several Colorado EMS Awards will be presented. The Spring award presentations are made to the
public, to highlight the value and importance of our EMS professionals to the
state:
- Dr. Robert Campbell Award for Distinguished and Meritorious
Service, to Dr. David Ross, Colorado Springs
- EMS Administrator-of-the-Year, Marshall Cook, Lamar Fire and EMS
- C.J. Shanaberger Award for Lifetime Achievement, to Joel Maxcy, Cheyenne Ambulance, Burlington
- EMS Ambulance Service-of-the-Year, Gunnison Valley Hospital EMS
- Dr. Valentin E. Wohlauer Award for Physician Excellence in
EMS, to Dr. John Riccio, Porter/Parker/Littleton Hospitals Prehospital Services

Gold Honor for Saving Life, Steve Jennings, Palisade Fire Department
- Francis Mildred Roth Women in EMS Award, to Candy Shoemaker, SW Teller County EMS
